mike ash returns to super rhythm trax after providing the very first release and gives us 4 authentic and acidic warehouse smashers. mike ash may be familiar from early releases on moving shadow and rising high records under a variety of pseudonyms in the early 90s but in the last 10 years has become synonymous with releasing mind blowing and true electro under his own name. when he turns his hand to acid house, the results mirror the high quality and his no nonsense approach shines through having lived and breathed the music and culture back when it was exploding in the late 80s and early 90s. in his own words i tried to keep with the original 1988/1989 vibe. i didnt use any synths / sounds / samples that weren t available past 1990. its all juno / sh-101 / 303 / jupiter / 808 / 909 / 707 / 606 and samples from the beats breaks & scratches vol 1&2inch the tracks exude a raw and strangled soul and are a bold and comfortingly honest take on the warehouse and pirate radio sound of the uk.

• während fjaak sich auf housige synths verlassen, taucht mike bierbach aka rødhåd direkt ins dunkle. sein -oblivious- paart fast schon paranoide percussions mit typisch dystopischen synth-flächen, die in der ferne heulen - wahrscheinlich in trauer über 50weapons.

detroits jared wilson provides the 10th release for super rhythm trax and it lives up to it s title.
on *plate mining* and *idea of a deep state*, jared goes in deep with lush, strings that sooth you as the 303 works it s magic underneath. while *how deep* provides a brooding acid line and works the percussion. minimal but deadly.
jared has long been on the srtx want list after proving himself as a master craftsman with a slew of classy releases on his own 7777 label. super rhythm trax is overjoyed to have him on the roster being one of the most skilled knob twiddlers out there who knows how to work it but also and perhaps more importantly, when to hold back.

super mama djombo orchestra, guinee-bissau, west africa. all songs recorded in lisbon, 1980 - re-mastered from the original reels. six archive recordings are now available on vinyl for the first time.. super mama djombo is one of west africas greatest roots orchestras and especially for the people of guiné-bissau. the band marked a new national identity and reinvented portuguese creole as a language of national unity.

after recording various psych soul and funk tracks on the whiz record label the real thing carried on after leaving the label to record more studio cuts with musician and producer stu gardner. here they let it rip with an incredible fast version of james browns *give it up, turnit loose* ... and they left in that all important secret ingredient of a lovely long drum break. stu gardner himself took to the microphone on this track, with various background vocals and screams, and did the vocals for the amazing b-side *it s a family thang*!

reissue of elias rahbani & his orchestras super rare arabic disco holy grail *liza liza* on the original lebanese voix de l orient label. recorded pre-civil war at a time when beirut was known as the paris of the middle east, a luxurious holiday destination and flourishing trade centre. the title track is totally out of this world, perfectly blending eastern & western vocals, instruments and musical influences with a driving disco bassline to create an irresistible floor filling cosmic odyssey. the flipside features the even more out-there *from the moon* a fantastic tripped out psychedelic disco funk monster, followed by the dreamy accordion-led *summer love*. also boasting one of the sexiest covers in disco history further illustrating the liberal thinking and western influence in lebanon at the time. highly recommended!

recorded from rudys homemade studio in hampton virginia before he cut *searching for love* on harvest records around 1983, he did this wonderful modern synth winner. with rudy just having one pass on a reel of this song, we remastered it a little at the super disco hq to give it a brighter feel. sure its pretty lo-fi but the quality of the song writing playing and melodies are more than enough to let is see the joys of a turntable. this is once again a limited press.

currently causing quite a stir on the underground, the jerome hill remix of marshall jeffersons s trax classic lost in the groove is a complete re-interpretation, solid jacking (hard) house music using the original vocal that s cut loud onto the vinyl and worms inside your head and has been doing serious damage in the clubs and festivals last year. now with all licensing and red tape cleared away, it s set for release. dancer boom boom is actually a collaboration between acid legend adonis and sidney winters, with a mix down by house legend frankie knuckles. this sat on the b side of am a dog on trax records and is rare & obscure to say the least, but once the needle touches the groove you know it s a killer. massive kick drums and mysterious organ scales, this one is a mad mad tune ! produced in 1987 (and sounding like nothing else from that year) it s been given a very slight and very respectful re-arrangement by jerome hill, remastered and cut super loud. strictly limited and if the previous titles on the label are anything to go by, this one will sell out equally quick.

the super disco edit team have pulled out all the stops on this super un-issued 1979 disco dancer from the stable of world renowned musician stu gardner. here he teams up with the beautiful ms irene cathaway to bring you a unique slice of disco madness. pulling away from too much disco cheese and sleaze mr gardner kills it with some organ work like no other disco ‘12! a 6 minute party jam, with those lovely disco drum breaks towards the end. but hold on, flip it over to get another lovely un-issued feel good track called he can ring my bell, dropping like an emotions out take!. so two previously un-issued tracks, in a 350grm customized disco sleeve, with inner. this is limited once again,with a no repress policy.

to celebrate 20 years since the gutter snypes released their now acclaimed *trials of life* ep on liberty grooves in 1994, the super disco edits team have dug into the dusty vaults to bring you these two previously un-issued cuts that were recorded directly after the ep.

vinyl only release !! long live 90s house! the new 10 inch supersingle 160 by o*rs takes us back on a journey through time without suffering a loss of modern or contemporary sound. with *body talk* the berlin based female producer perel creates a future house classic featuring no less than abba lang. lang, who lives in berlin but originally comes from uganda, not only add his voice to the original track but creates a delicate hip hop rhythm while reciting – and harmonizes perfectly with perels vocals and the sound of the track. *this love*, the second track featured on the limited supersingle is a house tune which has it all: love of detail, funky grooves and extravaganza. o*rs 10inch 160 – one record, two tracks and a perfect fusion of house and hip hop.

after their featuring on kyle halls boat party ep, the bologna based duo nas1 join the bosconi family with a lush six tracks vinyl strongly influenced by contemporary detroit house. a side starts with the chuggin and moody beat of -black coffee-, then continues with the stomping and sexy midtempo of -i don t mind- and ends with the more mysterious, electro boogie raw jam of -dallas vertical roll-. on the flip we find the slapped roadhouse blues of madturkey followed by the twisted gifted & blesseds re-interpretation of -i don t mind-. the ep ends with the melancholic and soulful textures of the shuffle groover -hoarse presence-. tasty!

super disco edits has dug deep again and unearthed this killer un-issued crossover modern masterpiece from 1975. it is set to grace the decks of the soul lovers across europe and the states. the 45 comes with the same track on both sides and a 3 page insert as well, nice!
